Mr. Babajide Tella has been named the recipient of the 2023-2024 Winslow Sargeant Doctoral Award by the Ronald W. Walters Leadership and Public Policy Center. As the first male and international student to receive this $10,000 award, Tella, a political science doctoral student from Nigeria, expresses gratitude for the opportunity to research Ronald Walters' intellectual contributions to Africa. Tella plans to collaborate with the Walters Center and Dr. Scott to further explore the intersection of politics and its global impact. His academic achievements and interest in Walters' work, particularly on the Free South Africa Movement, make him an ideal recipient. The award, sponsored by Winslow Sargeant, supports doctoral students in their research endeavors.
